Saint Joan
By George Bernard Shaw
Adapted & Directed by Bradetta Vines
Featuring Rebecca Lane as Joan

George Bernard Shaw’s classic Saint Joan is a tempestuous retelling of the mighty tale of Joan of Arc, the young girl who led the armies of King Charles of France against the British occupiers and their collaborators at the end of the 100 years war. Believing she is chosen by God, and listening only to the voices of her beloved Saints, Joan rallies the French to victory until she is finally captured and put on trial for sorcery and heresy.

Rebecca Lane (Joan) is playing her dream role! Thank you, thank you to Mark & Jen for saying yes, and making this dream a reality. Past favorite roles include: Queen Isabel in Richard II, James Wilson in 1776, and Blue Dog in Go, Dog. Go! When not on stage, Rebecca writes about breaking fashion rules on her blog, Costume Parade. Special thanks to Bradetta for her courage (and patience!), Novio for the constant support (and snacks!) and M&D for teaching me that the worst thing they can say is no.

Terry Boyd (Cauchon)
is delighted to return to SecondStory after wearing really big glasses as Swifty Lazar in Frost/Nixon. Look for him in When a Tree Falls at 18th and Union in Seattle this Spring. Thanks to the crew for their hard work.
