Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Written by Tom Stoppard
Directed by Alicia Mendez
Acclaimed as a modern dramatic masterpiece, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is the fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet as told from the worm's-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in Shakespeare's play. In Tom Stoppard's best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but do so in a world where echoes of Waiting for Godot resound, where reality and illusion intermix, and where fate leads our two heroes to a tragic but inevitable end.

Jalyn Green (Rosencrantz) is thrilled beyond belief to be doing this show, one of his all time favorites.  Previously at SecondStory he has been in Christmas Carol (3x), Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Born Yesterday, Much Ado About Nothing and The Pillowman.  You've also seen him around working for Book It Rep, Theatre Schmeater, Greenstage, Shakespeare Northwest, and is a company member with Ghost Light Theatricals.  Love to his friends and family, and a big thanks to Alicia for the opportunity, Abby for keeping me on track and The Cheat for her love and support.

Abby Nathan (Guildenstern) is beyond thrilled to be returning to SSR with this amazing cast! Abby graduated from Central Washington with her BFA in performance. Past performances include: Nym in Merry Wives (Greenstage); Nurse in Creature (Theater Schmeater); Delio in The Duchess of Malfi (Hard Bard); Conrade/Messenger in Much Ado About Nothing (Greenstage); Dr. Wink/Alison in Pinkalicious (SSR); Caliban in The Tempest (Central). All of her love goes to Skye, Dustyn, and Chauncey. Anthony for all of his support, and of course my mother, father, and many parents! Heads or tails for a great show!

Seth Stewart (Hamlet) is pleased to be making his Seattle debut on the SecondStory stage. His previous credits include Hamlet in Hamlet and Himself in Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play at the Mary Moody Northen Theatre in Austin, TX. He would like to thank the director for this wonderful opportunity, all involved in production, and his friends and family.

Janette Oswald (Gertrude) is a recent transplant to the PNW from Dallas, TX, and is excited to be a part of this show at SSR. Favorite roles include: Lady Bracknell (The Importance of Being Earnest); Princess Puffer (Drood); Mrs. Webb (Our Town). Olive juice, SB & love to The Harem.
