SECONDSTORY CONSERVATORY
CLASS POLICIES

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CLASS?
We will be very physically active in our classes, so please make sure your child is in comfortable play clothes and closed toe shoes. Tight jeans, short skirts, clogs, sandals, and flipflops are not appropriate for class. We do suggest bringing a water bottle to class.

REGISTRATION/TUITION
Class tuition must accompany the registration form in order to secure your spot in a particular class or session. If you need to drop out before a semester starts, you may get a refund for that semester. Refunds will only be given before the first class each semester. Walk-up registrations are acceptable on the first day of class.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
We expect students to attend class regularly and on time. Since much of the class work is focused on building an ensemble, it is imperative that all the team members be present. If a student must miss a class due to a conflict or illness, please notify the instructor or Email the Education Director as early as possible.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY
After-care is not available. Students must be picked up promptly at the end of class. Because we value our instructorsí time, students picked up later than 5 minutes after the end of class will be charged a $1 per minute fee, billed to the studentís parents or guardians. No students under the age of 18 may be left unattended on SSR property. If outstanding late fees are due, your child will not be permitted to begin the next semester until they are paid.

BUILD WEEK
All classes are held on the SSR main stage, which also serves as our scene shop. On those weeks where we are building a new set, classes will be held in the lobby. Lobby days will be noted on the schedule you receive on the first day of class. On those dates, we ask that parents please wait elsewhere in the Town Center and return at the end of class to pick up the student.

CLASS SCHEDULES
SecondStory Conservatory follows the Lake Washington School District Schedule for holidays and classes whenever possible. Sometimes classes meet on teacher workdays. Assume your child has class unless a break is noted in the course description on our website or in SecondStory Conservatory's Education brochure. Classes and times are subject to change without notice.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather, please call the theater at 425-881-6777 to find out whether or not classes have been cancelled. Since classes are usually held during the afternoon, schools may have to cancel while we do not. In the event classes are cancelled, SecondStory Conservatory will schedule make-up classes as quickly as possible. We will attempt to notify parents directly, and updates will also be posted on our site and SecondStory Repertory's Facebook Page.
