Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook
by Allison Gregory
Based on the book series by Barbara Park

Directed by Tristan Carruthers

Something terrible happened to Junie B. Jones at school today! Someone stole her new furry mittens! So when Junie B. finds a wonderful pen of many colors, she should be allowed to keep it, right? Because finders keepers, losers weepers. And guess what? There's a new boy in kindergarten and he is the handsomest. The only thing is both Grace and Lucille want him to be their boyfriend. Maybe he will love Junie B. when he sees her wonderful pen! It is okay to keep it, right? Junie B. Jones is not a crook . . . or is she?

MEET THE CAST (bios as provided)

Emily Fortuna (Grace) is excited to be working with SecondStory Repertory for the first time! Some of her favorite Seattle area stage credits include Jenny Sunshine in Truth Like the Sun (Book-It Repertory Theatre), Thea Elvsted in Hedda Gabler (Harlequin Theatre), South in Codename: Kansas (Copious Love), and Nina Sheinberg in LAPD, Serious Murders Unit (Ghost Light). She also is an improviser, acts in films, and loves a good nerdy joke.

Benjamin Cournoyer (Ricardo/Granpa/Principal) Ben is pleased to be back at SecondStory!! You may remember him in Frog and Toad a few years ago where he played the Snail and many others!! Other favorite roles include Alf in Peter and the Starcatcher at BPA, Ralph in Reefer Madness at SMT and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors at TLT. Enjoy the show!!

Hannah Coleman (Lucille) is delighted to be back at SecondStory Repertory for her third TYA production. Past credits include: Sparkle Fairy’s School for Formerly Vile Villains (Priscilla) and Charlotte’s Web (Wilbur). She studied theater at Western Washington University and has performed with GreenStage, Dacha Theatre, and Kairos Theatre Company. In addition to acting, she is an active member of IATSE and spends her days working as the Costume Shop Assistant at Village Theatre. She would like to thank her friends, family, and Jack for their constant support and love.

Elizabeth Alm (Junie B Jones) is thrilled to be making her SecondStory Rep debut! A Seattle native, she has a long held love and passion for theater and is happy to be pursuing it in the town she loves and calls home. And wowie wow wow, Junie B. Jones is a dream come true! Love and gratitude for the humans in my corner, supporting and cheering me along the way.
