Miss Nelson's class is the worst-behaved in the whole school. One day, Miss Nelson does not come to school, and the class gets Viola Swamp, a scary substitute who assigns homework from hell. The search is on for Miss Nelson. Hopefully the students of Room 207 will find her before it's too late - for them!

MEET THE CAST (bios as provided)

Hayley Ewerz (Miss Nelson) is proud to be returning to SecondStory’s Theater for Young Audiences after appearing as May and Mother in Junie B. Jones! Since moving to Seattle six years ago from Dallas, she has performed locally with Village Theatre, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, SecondStory’s mainstage, Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Tacoma Little Theatre, Renton Civic Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, and Driftwood Players. Hayley also sings with the Kirkland Choral Society. When she isn’t in rehearsal, she loves to jog around Bellevue with her dog Augie, travel with her husband JW, and says “y’all” as much as she can. Special dedication to The Squolf, cast, and crew for their remarkable talent.

Rebecca Cort (Allison) Rebecca is thrilled in the WORST way to be back with SecondStory Repertory where she recently played Ursula in Bye Bye Birdie on the mainstage and Mouse in Goodnight Moon on the TYA stage. She has an acting degree from Western Washington University and is proudly part of the Tweenland trio for Naomi Morgan Entertainment, which provides concerts for kids around the area (nmentertainment.com/tweenland). When she is not performing for children, she is usually found teaching children at The Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts. She dedicates this performance to all teachers including her parents - we critically undervalue you.

Max Lopuszynski (Gregory) has performed with Bainbridge Performing Arts, Burien Actors Theatre, Drama Dock, Last Leaf Productions, Seattle Musical Theatre, Seattle Opera, SecondStory Rep, and more! Previously at SSR: Man of La Mancha, Freckleface Strawberry the Musical, The Last Starfighter, and Goodnight Moon. Special thanks to Buddy, Rebecca, Zandi, Annie, and (as always) The Squolf. Up next: Princess Ida with the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society.

Angela Snyder (Pops/Ensemble) is a Seattle-based performing and teaching artist who is pleased to be making her SecondStory debut in Miss Nelson is Missing! Most recently Angela was seen in the Gregory Award winning production of Little Shop of Horrors with Reboot Theatre Company. Her work has also been seen in various forms at Bainbridge Performing Arts, CLO/SMT, Driftwood Players, Phoenix Theatre, Stone Soup, Studio East and Woodinville Rep to name a few.  Angela holds a BA in Drama/Minor in Music from the University of Washington and pursued her graduate studies in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance at EWU. Thanks to Buddy, our wonderful director, for always thinking up ways to challenge me!

MEET THE PRODUCTION TEAM (bios as provided)

Buddy Todd (Director) has been acting and directing for over twenty years. Most recently, Buddy directed Moon Over Buffalo with Renton Civic Theatre (where he also directed The Game's Afoot in 2016). Other recent productions: Charlotte’s Web at SecondStory Rep, The Wizard of Oz with Bainbridge Performing Arts, Last Fall at Fantastic Z, A Child's Christmas in Wales and The Long Christmas Dinner at Stone Soup Theatre, Fiddler on the Roof  at Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre and The Fantastiks, at Eastern Washington University, where he was awarded a Certificate of Merit for Directing by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre. As a performer, Buddy has appeared in Night Parade, Richard III, and As You Like It with RebatENSEMBLE, Six Degress of Separation and Right You Are if You Think... with Theatre 9/12, The Hat at Gay City (co-produced by Bitter Single Guy), #LOLz with Fantastic Z, Winter Bird at the Eclectic Theatre, and in Everybody Here Says Hello with Pacific Play Company. In addition, Buddy is a teaching artist working at Studio East and Edmonds Community College.

Laurie McClain (Costume Desinger) has been designing costumes for 16 years and is delighted to be back at SSR for another show.  She has designed more than 75 shows around the area for Bellevue Youth Theatre and Youth Theatre Northwest in addition to her work at SSR.  Thanks as always to The Squolf for the opportunity to be a part of the team. Thanks to James for understanding that art is essential to all humans, and supporting me in my endeavors.  Enjoy the show!
