MEET THE CAST

Tristan Carruthers (Puddles) is ecstatic to be returning to the SSR stage after being last seen as Phinneas in Curious George and the Golden Meatball.  He graduated from Western Washing University with a BMus in Vocal Performance and BA in Theater Arts (Acting).  Other credits include: Henrik in A Little Night Music (SSR), Baker in Into the Woods (MBT), Paul in Company (MBT), Marcos in Kiss of the Spider Woman (SSR), Orazio in I Gelosi (STAGEright), and Dickon in The Secret Garden (Kitsap Forest).  Thank you to all his family and friends, and of course the Squolf, for all their unwavering support and love!

Kate Moyer (Squire El) is THRILLED to be back at SSR for her 5th Theater For Young Audiences production! Previous Credits at SSR include: Curious George and the Golden Meatball (Doorman), How I Became a Pirate (Sharktooth), The Cat in the Hat (Thing 1), and The Velveteen Rabbit (Toy Soldier/Nana).  When she's not on stage Kate enjoys baking cookies, smelling flowers, and making friends with small furry animals. Vive Le Squolf!

Cristin Fenzel (Wolfington) is delighted to be part of the Fluffy Tale cast. This is her first show at SecondStory Repertory. She recently appeared as Karen in For Better at The Phoenix Theatre and as Sis in in Leaving Iowa with the Edmonds Driftwood Players. Cristin is a children’s literature superfan and a graduate of the University of Washington Writing for Children Certificate Program. She loves cheese pizza as much as Wolfington loves smoked peanuts. Buckets of thanks to her family, friends, and husband Kevin for supporting her creative endeavors.

James Cheek (Father) is excited to be joining SSR for the first time. Most recently he played Larry in Renton Civic Theatre’s production of Company. He also portrayed Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine in RCT’s production of Next to Normal the previous year. Before moving to the Seattle area eight years ago, he performed regularly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where he received several The Column Dallas Theater awards and nominations. Favorite roles include: Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd; Tony in West Side Story; Huck in Big River; Danny Zuko in Grease; Conrad Birdie in Bye, Bye Birdie; Man 2 in Closer than Ever; and Claude in Hair. James has a doctorate in counseling and educational psychology, and serves as the Director of Academic Support at the UW School of Medicine.

Joy Yaholkovsky (Kidden) loves telling stories and is honored to be part of such a squolf-tacular show! When she's not doing TYA shows you can find her fighting dragons and playing dress up with the "Queen of Mouseland."

Stephanie Bull (Squolfie) Much like The Squolf, Stephanie is mysterious and awesome.

MEET THE PRODUCTION TEAM

Laurie Roberts (Costume Designer) has been designing costumes for 15 years, and is delighted to be back working at SSR again for the 31st time!  She has also designed costumes for Bellevue Youth Theatre and Youth Theatre Northwest.  Her work was last seen in this season's production of A Streetcar Named Desire.  Thanks as always to the Squolf for the opportunity. Enjoy the show!!
